Rhythm Generation in collaboration with Legacy Youth Zone, Reaching Higher and Talk Off The Record,  and supported by Croydon Council's Croydon Loves You, Creative Health Grant, is excited to introduce CHADDA - the Cultural Home of African Drumming, Dance and Arts!

CHADDA offers young people aged 8-12 years the opportunity to participate in ten drumming sessions, dance, create and connect in a fun, welcoming and supportive environment with the aim to emerge as a Diverse Youth Percussion Orchestra.

The project aims to:

• Create a welcoming space where young people feel a sense of belonging and connection with others
• Encourage positive relationships and reduce feelings of isolation or exclusion
• Build confidence, resilience and a stronger sense of self-worth through creative achievement
• Support emotional wellbeing by providing enjoyable and constructive ways to express feelings and manage everyday pressures
• Promote active lifestyles through energetic drumming and dance activities that enhance both physical and mental wellbeing
• Celebrate cultural diversity and inspire young people through exposure to rich African artistic traditions.

When: The project will be delivered on Tuesdays, starting from Tuesday 21st July - 4:30-6pm
