Queen Elizabeth's Foundation for Disabled People (QEF) is a national disability charity based in Surrey. We have more than 80 years’ experience of developing innovative services which support people with disabilities to increase their independence and achieve their goals in life.
We work with children and adults with physical and learning disabilities or acquired brain injuries. Whether it’s developing life skills to live as independently as possible, neuro rehabilitation to rebuild a life after a brain injury, or learning to drive a specially adapted car, we support each person increase their independence.
Bicycles
Comprehensive safety assessments for people who are planning to ride a bicycle. Initial assessment determines physical, cognitive and eyesight ability. This is followed by a practical assessment in a safe environment using standard or adapted bicycles to determine ability and determine safety and independence.
Motorbikes
Assessments for those who wish to learn to ride, or return to riding after illness or injury. The initial assessment evaluates physical, cognitive, behavioural and eyesight aspects and adaptation requirements. Depending upon the outcome, a practical assessment at our associated motorbike school would follow.
Contact us on: 020 8770 1151 or e-mail mobility@qef.org.uk for the cost of the assessment and to ensure this is the correct assessment to meet your needs.
