Employment Support in Croydon: Mentor Programme

Croydon Commitment

NEW CAREER MENTOR PROJECT

This year we are celebrating our 20th Anniversary and, as part of our 20 4 20 Social Value programme, we are announcing the launch of a new project within the scope of our successful Ways2Work employability programme.

Over the summer we have been recruiting and training volunteers from Croydon’s business community to become mentors for individuals (18+) who would benefit from one-to-one support over a period of time from a professional who is willing to share advice and expertise on how to get on in the world of work. The mentors will all be DBS checked.

We are now approaching organisations who may be interested in this programme and may like to refer someone in the new year.

· One-to-one support on a regular basis
· Someone to listen to their career concerns, dreams & aspirations
· Someone to offer career advice, ideas and options
· Someone to help boost their confidence
· Someone to help build an action plan
· Someone to monitor their progress and steer them forwards
· Someone who might be able to offer work experience
· Someone who cares enough to give their time for free

If you are interested in registering your organisation’s interest in this programme, please get in touch with Melinda Ashford on 07786 438964 or Melinda.ashford-mm@mottmac.com .
