THURSDAY 16th MAY 6pm to 8pm - Location to be announced
In Croydon there are 6 Local Community Partnerships chaired by local community leaders to hear what matters to local people and explore what we can achieve by working together. We seek to learn lessons from what has gone before, but we are not looking to blame, moan or judge others. This is a solution-focussed, 'can-do' partnership of residents, community and faith groups, charities, Croydon Council, Health, Local Councillors, the Metropolitan Police and businesses, united by an interest in new, creative, ways of working.
We are strengthening local connections between ‘can-doers’ and using invaluable local knowledge and expertise to better sustain the groups and activities that are most valued. Each Local Community Partnership is also developing a Community Plan that focuses on the things that are most important to local people and that keep them safe, healthy and happy.
The more inclusive the Local Community Partnerships are, the more representative they will be. So, if you would like to be part of creating stronger local communities in Croydon, please come along to our relaxed, welcoming and friendly event.
