The Recovery Space offers a safe, non-clinical, supportive environment for people experiencing a mental health crisis from 10am – 4pm from the Croydon Health and Wellbeing Space and from 4pm – 11pm at a central location in East Croydon, 7 days a week.
We offer short term, recovery focused support as an alternative to using other crisis services.
Crisis Support Workers can work alongside you to help you:
Manage your crisis
Identify your crisis triggers
Identify your strengths & coping methods
Develop effective ways of coping
Explore self-help tools and apps
Improve your self-confidence, esteem & independence
Develop your own personalized wellbeing tool kit
By offering:
1-2-1 focused support sessions
Safe space drop-ins
Crisis management sessions
Group activities – Mindfulness, Mindful Art, Women’s Group, Men’s Group, Journaling Group, Connect and Cope Groups, Safety Bubble Work Group, Tranquil Tuesdays
The aim of the service is to promote wellbeing, social inclusion and recovery.
Who can use the Recovery Space?
18 years and over
Living in Croydon
Experiencing a mental health crisis
AND
Have been assessed by SLaM clinicians or GP and do not require inpatient admission or clinical input.
Open: Monday – Sunday 09:00 – 23:00
