Care4Calais is a volunteer run charity delivering essential aid and support to refugees living in the UK. We believe in a fair and tolerant British society and advocate for a welcoming and inclusive attitude towards refugees.
Our aim is to help as many refugees as possible who are in need of support and friendship. Asylum seekers can seek refuge in the UK for multiple reasons such as fleeing wars or persecution, trying to find a better life, coming to be with family (there are lots of reasons).
The Care4Calais group in Croydon provide support to people in desperate need. This could include clothing, shoes, food parcels, phones and providing signposts to other support networks (other organisations/charities/doctors/dentists in their area). We also provide social support and interaction, including language lessons, sports (depending on the area) and share local activities/events. We are ordinary people like you who believe that everyone deserves to be treated with dignity.
