Ethnic Minority Cultural Heritage Education Centre EMCHEC is intended to empower ethnic minority youths who are dislocated and vulnerable by educating them about their rich cultural heritage to give them a sense of belonging and pride of existence, especially in their formation years. The goal is to instil individual pride and self-esteem among the youths in their ancestral achievements, ways of life and a desire to improve on them for future generations. EMECHEC has three main goals. 1. To provide support and advice to black and ethnic minority youths especially those with physiological, emotional and psychological needs. 2. Provide information, advice and basic orientation on targeted Ethnic Minority youths on their cultural heritage faculties such as artefacts, arts, crafts, language, drama, music, festivals etc. through cumulative training programmes to inspire their interest in learning. 3. To Provide a One-Stop PEP Assessment and Referral scheme at the Centre for support and or reorientation of all youths from formation years to maturity into responsible adults.
