Aims & Activities
Bromley & Croydon Women's Aid (BCWA) have worked since 1975 to end domestic abuse in the local community, by providing refuge, outreach support and prevention services.
The organisation focuses on maintaining the independence, confidence and self-esteem of anyone they help and support.
The range of services include providing safe accommodation for women and children who are fleeing domestic abuse with individualised support plans, resettlement assistance and child support services. Along with the refuge services, support line, young people's outreach and a free One Stop Shop call-in service, there are also support groups to provide emotional support and practical advice to individuals who are experiencing or have experienced domestic abuse and would like a non-judgmental listening ear. BCWA also run specialist services for women with immigration challenges, BAME women, Japanese & EEA nationals and women with complex needs.
