The British Red Cross Community Resilience Programme aims to build strong and sustainable links between community groups, local authorities and emergency services to improve collaboration before, during and after emergencies.

We believe that communities can become more resilient by harnessing community skills, local talents and assets, and by having their voices heard. This centres around working with the voluntary, community and faith sector to create spaces where groups can come together and identify risks and create needs/assets tools and emergency procedures which will be linked in with the Local Authority’s response.
