Mental Health and Wellbeing: CareDogs Befriending Service

CareDogs

We provide a local befriending scheme for over 55's looking to get out and walk with a local volunteer and their dog, solving social isolation, one dog walk at a time.

We're hoping to build more friendships and encourage more older people to get out and about, helping both their physical and mental health.

Our befriending volunteers and their lovely dogs will visit for around 1-2 hours a week, usually going on a dog walk together in a nearby park.

The activity takes place In the boroughs of Croydon, Bromley, Lewisham, Southwark and Lambeth (with a current focus on Croydon and Bromley).
