Croydon Refugee Day Centre: A day centre for refugees and asylum seekers in Croydon offering practical assistance to all asylum seekers and refugees. 

The services we currently provide for refugees and asylum seekers are:


Tuesday morning for Croydon refugees and Asylum Seekers: Information & Help Desk services, Access to language classes, Sometimes emergency clothes/food/toiletries for those in the Croydon area

Young Roots Croydon:  Advice & Support Hubs -  Youth and Sporting Activities -  One-to-One support and Advocacy to Young People, aged 11-25 - English-language Support - Youth Welfare Project supports the wellbeing and practical needs of young refugees aged 18-25 years olds

To register, please phone 020 7488 7310 Monday to Friday between 10 am – 5 pm.

If we cannot take your call, please leave a message with your name and your phone number. A member of the JRS team will contact you and check that you meet the criteria for our support, and discuss whether it is what you want. We will ask for some basic details and ask you to send us some evidence that you are an appeal rights exhausted asylum seeker.


Off the Record: Dedicated Counselling support for young refugees and asylum seekers.  T: 0800 980 7475 to talk to a practitioner and explore support options.


Rainbows Across Borders:  Voluntary self-help group for lesbian, gay, bisexual & transgender (LGBT) asylum seekers who are fleeing persecution of oppressive homophobic/transphobic regimes. The group is based in Croydon and is open to LGBT people applying to the United Kingdom for asylum on the grounds that they have faced or fear persecution and harm in their countries of origin because they are lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender.
