Emmaus SLC provides accommodation for people with low support needs and a sense of purpose for people who have formally been homeless.
We have three community buildings, two in South Norwood and one in West Norwood. We do not have a local connection policy so will accept referrals from any area.
We provide a room that is furnished as well as food, utilities, a weekly volunteer allowance, and a holiday with an extra allowance every three months.
What time: All year
How to contact: 0300 123 2001
Contact name: Vanessa Brown (Croydon) and Sanjiv Ahuja (Lambeth)
How to refer to service: Calling Ross or Sanjiv or via our website https://emmaus.org.uk/slc/join-our-community-2/
We are an alternative accommodation provider outside of the traditional hostel setting based within a Community home where residents live and work together for a common purpose.
We are not commissioned by the local authority, so the majority of our funding comes from our social enterprises (charity shops) where residents work alongside staff and volunteers to keep the service running.
Any other information: Please contact us to find out more and to visit our project to see what we do. If you know anyone who may be interested, we can arrange a visit with no obligation to decide on whether to join.
