Information and support for people with disabilities in Croydon.
Better integration of disabled people into Croydon Community.
Explorers is a new project that has been started by the partnership between Disability Croydon and the Community Access Service (part of Croydon Council) for people with a physical disability and/or a sensory impairment. It will facilitate individuals with disabilities to use community facilities which they otherwise may not be able to access.
As part of the project a group of disabled people meets every Tuesday at the Healthy Living Centre, Thornton Heath to undertake leisure activities including the using the swimming pool, gym, sports hall, arts and crafts. Another group meets in St Oswald's Parish Church in Norbury, which currently plays bowls.
