Green Care for people living with Dementia - every 3rd Wednesday of the month

MHA Communities South London

Older people living in South London are welcomed to join MHA Communities South London Green Care activities, our Social Therapeutic Horticulture (STH) workshops which take place at the Wilderness, a 7.5 acre wild garden in Shirley, Croydon. Every 3rd Wednesday of the month, all older adults aged 55+ are welcomed at the Wilderness garden to join our Green Care activities. Nature can have a positive impact on people's wellbeing, especially on those living with Dementia. Engaging with Nature can uplift the spirit, improve your mood but also facilitate reminiscence. Our Green Care activities benefit from the natural surroundings of the Wilderness garden, 3 years of experience of delivering Green Care to people living with Dementia, and elements of fun because good emotions are extremely important to improve people's life.
