MSH Foundation for Mental Health - Empowering Communities, Transforming Mental Health
Whether you have dementia, are a caregiver, or just want to support the community, everyone is welcome to join us for an afternoon of joy and movement.
Dementia Café - Coulsdon
Where: Coulsdon Methodist Church, 83 Brighton Rd, Coulsdon CR5 2BE
When: First Tuesday of every month
MS Foundation for Mental Health runs three intergenerational Dementia Cafés, where young people volunteer to support and engage with attendees. The Dementia Cafés are uplifting events, where older adults can come together to enjoy tea, cakes and an afternoon filled with joy. Each session features engaging workshops, interactive activities and lively performances, creating an inclusive and dynamic atmosphere. Our intergenerational approach fosters meaningful connections between young volunteers and older participants, promoting understanding, companionship and community spirit. These cafés provide not only social enjoyment for those affected by dementia but also opportunities for young people to learn, contribute and grow through shared experiences.
