Reed in Partnership 'Better Working Futures' program supports unemployed adults to start and sustain a job. Participants on the service are supported to create a personal plan of action that will meet their needs and aspirations. They will receive individual and group support, including functional skills, vocational skills, employability skills, motivational, and practical skills. 

Activities include 

  • Career planning, CV writing, support applying for work, interview practice 
  • Health assessments – conducted by health professions 
  • Signposting and wrap-around support to engage with specialist support organisations 
  • Work experience, taster sessions and employer route ways 
  • Motivational and confidence building sessions 
  • Literacy, numeracy, ESOL support 
  • Support with managing drug and alcohol issues 
  • Support to find and retain suitable accommodation 
  • Family support and/or mediation 
  • Access to funding for childcare and interview clothing 

All participants have an employment advisor for up to 15 months, who will ensure that the service is meeting their needs. This support continues until the participant starts work and then for a period of 6 months afterward, to aid their progression. 

* All participants need to reside in one of the following boroughs: Croydon, Kingston, Merton, Richmond, Sutton.

Operational hours 9 am - 5 pm - Monday-Friday
